Welcome and Ethos

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Field Place Infant School.

We are a Community Infant School for children aged 4-7, from Reception to Year 2; plus a 52 place Nursery Class for children aged 3 and 4.  We also have a Special Support Class for children who have an Education and Health Care Plan for speech and language difficulties.

We are very proud of our dedicated staff team who are there to nurture and educate our children.  We aim to work in very close partnership with parents and carers to support, recognise and celebrate all achievements.

We want everyone at Field Place to be ‘building bright futures together’.  We aim to create a safe, happy and caring environment where every child is valued and respected as an individual.

We want every child to gain skills which enable them to become citizens of the future and to lead confident, healthy and independent lives, making a valued and positive contribution to society.

Our expectation of children is high.  We aim for all children to make excellent progress and build positive relationships with parents to support this.

We have excellent outside learning spaces which support a stimulating and challenging learning environment where children can build on their own interests and strengths.

We hope your children will be very happy at our school and we look forward to working with you over the next few years.

You are more than welcome to come and visit our school and see it in action.
